The Mad Hatter - Alice's Adventures in Wonderland

“My concept for this project is to create and design for a sci-fi film adaptation of the classic children’s novel ‘Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland’.

Set in 2092, hope for the future of Earth is becoming scarce and astronauts are being sent on missions to survey possible habitable planets. The adaptation reimagines Alice as an astronaut on a scouting mission who gets pulled through a wormhole to a mysterious planet (Wonderland), a place filled with strange lush forests and communities living in harmony with the land. Alice soon discovers there is a threat to these people, the Red Empress and a creature known as the Jabberwock. The Red Empress plans to cut down the forest to expand her empire. Alice has to save Wonderland from the same fate as her home, standing up against the Red Empress and slaying the Jabberwock.”

Musical Demon - The Garden of Earthly Delights

“My concept for this project is to design for a contemporary dance performance inspired by the triptych ‘The Garden of Earthly Delights’ by Hieronymus Bosch. The dance will consist of three acts, each inspired by a panel of the triptych.

The costumes for the human characters will be designed to create a nude illusion, with simple silhouettes inspired by contemporary dance-wear and a focus on creating texture within the textiles inspired by the impasto texture of Bosch’s paintings. The costumes for the inhuman characters will take inspiration from a mix of visuals from the original painting, European folk costume and religious symbolism.”
